Be respectful of others’ privacy
Being in this group depends on our trust of one another. Some discussions may be sensitive or contain sensitive information, so what’s said in the group should stay in the group.
Copyright infringement and trademark
When sharing others people’s posts, images and other content, do not infringe on their copyright or claim other people’s materials as your own.
No harassment of any kind
Bullying, targeting, or attacking a member of this group is not allowed and will not be tolerated.
No Spam
No spamming other members is allowed in this group. Anyone who does so will be subject to immediate removal.
No platform involvement / no agency
Houston Music Classifieds (HMC) is a community bulletin board only. HMC does not broker transactions, handle payments, provide escrow, coordinate shipping, store items, authenticate products, inspect condition, or guarantee any listing. Any interaction, negotiation, payment, and exchange is solely between the buyer and seller.
No warranties / “as-is”
All listings, goods, and services are provided by third parties and are offered “as is” and “as available.” HMC makes no warranties—express or implied—including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, authenticity, non-infringement, or that an item will match its description.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, HMC will not be liable for any direct or indirect damages arising out of or related to listings or transactions, including loss of money, property damage, personal injury, death, fraud, identity theft, or disputes between users.
Indemnification
Users agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HMC, its directors, officers, volunteers, contractors, and affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from: (a) their listing or transaction, (b) their use of the board, or (c) their violation of these terms or any law.
Disputes are between users
HMC does not mediate disputes. Users agree that any dispute regarding a listing or transaction is only between buyer and seller.
Content accuracy + moderation rights
Users are responsible for the content they post. HMC may edit, remove, or refuse any listing for any reason, and may suspend or ban users.
