About Us

Houston Music Classifieds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that started in 2022 as a place to post daily show listings happening in the city. Since then, however, we have expanded from just posting live music events to hosting live music events ourselves. Creating a stronger sense of community within the Houston music scene is a part of our mission, so we strive to bring together musicians and music lovers alike. Another way we support the local scene is by posting interviews with up-and-coming Houston artists, as well as by posting other resources, such as information about local venues and open mics. We are so grateful for the support we have received from the community over the past couple years, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for the Houston music scene.

Our Tiny Team!

Madison Elaine

Founder/Artistic Director

I started Houston Music Classifieds in December of 2022 as a way to collect information about the Houston music scene. My current role for HMC is administrative, I organize all the information that goes through our page.

I also curate most of the shows and events that we put on!

I am an arts producer, director, and caffeine addict.

You can find me out and about almost every night, say hi!!

Camille Closer

Hey, Hi, Hello there!

I am a singer-songwriter based in Houston and I make heartfelt, sad-gay pop music. I’m very passionate about storytelling and connection, I love writing songs that make people feel something (I’m a Cancer, so I’m a very watery person). One of my favorite parts of the Houston music scene is HMC! HMC actively brings artists together and fosters meaningful relationships, and I’m very lucky to be a part of the team. My role here is mainly filling in where I’m needed. I support day to day operations, event planning, and sometimes I even get to host live events.

If you see me, say hi!

Shelby Mathews

Lead Photographer/Interviewer

While I’m definitely a person of many hobbies, it's clear that they all revolve around one thing: music! I love going to concerts, photographing musicians, and posting music reviews on Youtube.

I also work as a dance teacher and a videographer—gotta keep my schedule busy!

If I wasn’t immersed enough in the scene before, I am now: my role for HMC is that of a writer and photographer, and I’m so excited to be a part of it.

Regine Gwyneth is a local Houston Artist & Creative who cultivates community through art and storytelling. An advocate for supporting local artists, she hopes to inspire others to find their sense of community - which is why she is so excited to be a part of HMC. She is proud to put the work of local artists, women, and BIPOC stories into light, while also sharing her own art. Regine Gwyneth encourages everyone to live as authentically and true to themselves as possible and to lead with kindness. She finds inspiration from her grandpa's words, "Because if there's no love, there's nothing. Everything revolves in love."
